Caught up

We tend to get caught up. We get lost in fantasies and live in the past. We dream of the future and forgot to deal with the present. We procrastinate responsibilities and ignore our feelings. We master the art of pretending and social media allows us to create allusions. We love closing our eyes and wishing away the worst. Drugs help create temporary relief and satisfaction. Searching for a quick “fix” instead of searching for a solution. We get caught up in people and ideas. We get caught up in ideas that people are permanent and our present dejection is temporary.
